HOOTIE IS ON A SLEEPOVER WITH A POTENTIAL ADOPTER!
2/13/14: The pins were removed from HOOTIE's injured leg and our vet would like us to wait until the end of Februard before HOOTIE is available for adoption.
HOOTIE IS A HOOT!! He is recovering like the young, spry pup that he is and isn't slowed down a bit by his leg. Being such a sweet little boy, Hootie has been a great sport at being handled and bandaged and all the medical stuff. He is happily settling into his foster home and enjoys the company of the other dog there. He follows his humans around the house and is interested in what they are doing. Hootie LOVES toys and wants to be snuggled all the time. He sleeps in his crate at night with the door open and seems to be quite comfortable with it.
HOOTIE was hit by a car which just sped off, but Becky in the car just behind it did stop and called the police. HOOTIE wound up at the Humane Society where they said his leg was broken and surgery would be required to insert a pin. This surgery could not be perfromed at the HS where the only options were to amputate the damaged leg or euthanize the dog. Becky contacted SouthEast Beagle Rescue and we arranged to have her pull HOOTIE from the HS and get him to Tampa.
HOOTIE is a very sweet and loving Beagle Boy who craves affection. Even with his leg wrapped up in a cast he just wanted to curl up on my lap and go to sleep.
HOOTIE has an appointment with our vet on Monday 12/30/13.
