foster update 2/1/12:  Amy is a sweet quiet girl who would do well in a house or an apartment. She is a little thing and loves to sit on the couch with you. She makes sure to give you kisses every day. She has completed her heartworm tx and is ready to go to her new home. She will do well as an only dog or as part of a family. She sleeps well in a crate every night. I believe the shelter got her mixed up with one of the 12 other dogs in her family because she seems much younger than her stated age.

Amy is very sweet and would make a great companion! She was one of thirteen Beagles turned into animal control when their owner died.  Other rescue groups took all the young dogs and left the 2 senior Beagles behind - that was Amy and Taderbug.  SEBR stepped up and took the 2 senior girls.

We were not surprised to find that Amy tested positive for heartworms but the vet has now declared her healthy enough for treatment which is scheduled for mid-January.
