Simon is a very affectionate dog who follows his humans about the house and LOVES meeting new people. Even though his foster parents try to get him to keep all his paws on the floor, he will jump up and give kisses. Fortunately his energy level is moderate and, once he has had enough attention, he will settle down quite nicely. Simon likes to be near you and, if you want he will snuggle in your lap. He will bring you toys and sometimes shoes or clothing but he is not destructive. Exploring outside Is a favorite activity as is interacting with other dogs. Sometimes he can initially be a bit too much, but once the other dog lets him know, Simon can adjust. He is really very good at playing with all kinds of dogs. He plays with toys well too. He will try to play keep away with the other dogs, but if they don’t want to, he will come push the toy in their face until they play. At first, Simon did not like being crated, but once he learned the routine, and especially that treats might be involved, he decided it was an okay place to be. He sleeps in his crate at night and is also crated when his foster family is away from home. Simon is heartworm negative and ready for a sleepover as soon as he comes to Florida.
