ADOPTION PENDING
His tail wags 24/7. Deacon is a little guy at just 20 lbs and he weighed much less than that when he was found wandering in Georgia. He's got a hearty appetite despite missing almost all of his teeth. In his foster home he is with several other dogs and gets along well with everyone. Deacon appears to be house trained and loves his doggie bed and does well in a crate too. He actually prefers sleeping in a dog bed to sleeping in bed with a human, and he's not particularly comfortable with being picked up. Deacon is heartworm negative and his bloodwork came back looking great. His heart and lungs sounded good and we moved forward with his neuter surgery and a good dental. His coat was so devitalized and he was so itchy that we also gave him a Cytopoint injection and now his coat and skin are looking so much better. Lack of care and poor nutrition are a thing of the past for this happy guy. He is a healthy senior and ready for his forever family.
