ADOPTION PENDING

Polly is a tiny beagle who is very submissive both to other dogs and people. However, once she understands you are her friend, she will follow you around everywhere. She is an interesting combination of timid and bold. Even though she is estimated at 5 years old she is still quite puppyish in that she is very inquisitve about things and she can be a bit mischevious in her explorations. Polly is doing excellent with her house training though and has not had any accidents in her foster home. She does not have to be leash walked now but was initially, and she did quite well on leash. Given freedom out in her fenced yard she has not shown any inclination to dig or try to escape. Polly loves to be petted and will curl up next to her foster mom on the sofa, but she is very unsure of being held. Perhaps her recent history taught her that human hands capturing her was a scary experience.  She is learning that the crate is a good place and has been enjoying her meals and bedtime treats there. Polly is not thrilled about being left alone but she is learning to tolerate that as well because her foster mom and dad do work outside of the home. She is fully vetted, heartworm negative and ready for a sleepover!
