With her gentle and affectionate temperament, Shelby will be a wonderful addition to any family! She has adjusted perfectly in her foster home where there are lots of other dogs, but we are told she is especially good with children. Her story is a sad one. Abandoned by her owners when they moved out of their rental home, Shelby waited patiently for days outside hoping they would come back. Finally, a kind neighbor realized Shelby was all alone, filthy and very hungry. A local veterinarian helped also by contacting SouthEast Beagle Rescue and we were happy to take her in. Shelby has made straight “A”s in house training in her foster home and does excellent in a crate, although she has now earned her foster parent's trust to be left at liberty in the house when left alone. She is not extremely vocal, but when she is, her aroooo is absolutely musical! She is truly a treasure!!!
