SKIPPER HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WILL BE GOING ON A SLEEPOVER! 

Everyone in the rescue loves Skipper! He is a special dog that has had some really unforunate breaks and we want so much to see him get a FOREVER home. Skipper was adopted from SouthEast Beagle Rescue as a puppy by a wonderful woman who raised him very well, but she unfortunately got cancer and had to return him. He has been adopted by two other families who have had to return him to the rescue, not for any fault or concern with Skipper, but because of things going on in the family. He is certainly a lot larger than a beagle, but he has so many wonderful attributes...

• Gets along well with other dogs - little ones too
• Affectionate and attentive to people
• Housetrained (may possibly need refresher in new home)
• Crate trained (comfortable being crated)
• Knows several commands - sit, down, come, in your room (crate)
• Very trainable and eager to please
• Good with children (although his size might be a factor with very small ones)

Skipper is a beautiful dog with a wonderful temperament and an appealing personality. He will make a super addition to some lucky family and we hope this time... it will be forever.

Skipper started out as a beagle impersonator! When he was a puppy his size and markings had everyone fooled...but not anymore! Skipper had a great start and graduated from obedience school. He obediently and enthusiastically performs sit, down, stay and come and when it is time to go in his crate, all you have to do is say "go to your room" and in he goes! Skipper had hopes of continuing on to agility training as his trainers all said he showed great promise. He does need a family that can provide him with needed excercise as he has a lot of energy to expend. But he walks very well on a leash, so long walks or romps at the dog park would be great. Skipper also loves to play with a ball so even a regular game of fetch in the back yard would provide this youngster with a chance to run. Needless to say, with all that higher education, Skipper has mastered housetraining. But wait...there's more! In addition to all that, Skipper is sweet and affectionate.
