Monty was dodging cars on a busy road in South Carolina when Danielle scooped him up and put him in her car. She took him right to a vet clinic where they contacted his owner via his microchip. Unfortunately the owner said he couldn't take him back ...so Monty will soon be on his way to Florida! Danielle shares that Monty is moderate energy, playful with other dogs and loves his toys. He is a little submissive with people but very sweet. She has taught him several word commands especially "potty" and "outside". He has also been getting familiar with "bed" or "go to bed" (for his crate where he sleeps), and "walk" , when we are leaving to go on a walk. Also, "time to eat", and "stay" The last few words are still a work in progress. Monty did test positive for heartworms. Once he has completed his course of doxycycline he will be treated.
