ADOPTION PENDING

Quirk is a special little creature. He's all cuteness and joy with an ever wagging tail. We don't know his history before the shelter in Louisiana, but it's possible Quirk may have been punished severely or hurt by someone. We noticed he would cry out when touched or moved, but complete radiographs have been conclusive that he is in good health and so his response must be related to what he's been through. Not surprisingly, this behavior has lessened as he has felt more safe with his foster mom. Now he loves to be held by her like an infant. Quirk has bonded well with the other beagles and is fine with the outdoor cats, but definitely did not like a visiting Doberman! He is still perfecting his house training and would benefit from a family who could provide some structured routine and training. He is a typical beagle when it comes to food, frequently hanging out next to the dog food tub awaiting his next meal. He is heartworm negative (yay!) and is hoping to find a caring and patient family who will love him.
