ADOPTION PENDING


Gorgeous HARVEY is back on the market... and you'll strike it rich if you make him yours! He's back because the kind folks who tried to adopt him have a small backyard with a nature preserve close by, and Harvey was constantly enticed by all the smells and goings on out there. He required very close supervision when the doors to the outside were opened. He wasn't a fan of the crate either and seemed to figure out ways to escape in order to satisfy his beagle need to explore. So, Harvey's forever family will either need a secure yard and/or to provide some invigorating and stimulating walks where he can use his beagle nose...and Harvey is great on leash!  But this mellow fellow could also be a good apartment/condo dog, especially if he’d get regular exercise and there weren’t inviting ways to escape.  He does bark a little, but mainly when people walk by the house, and he is friendly towards everyone he meets.

Harvey is fully housebroken and doesn’t chew on things.  He is fairly low-energy for a beagle and likes to cuddle with his people and sometimes follows them around the house. He mostly sleeps all day on the couch and he sleeps there at night as well. He doesn’t seem to be too interested in the bedroom - except to pop in and say good morning and goodnight (yes, he does that and it’s adorable!).

He does like to eat, and, although not yet convicted, Harvey is the number one suspect in the case of Who Ate the Loaf of Bread that was on the Counter.  He is extremely clever when it comes to snatching food.  You wouldn’t know it by looking at him, but he is likely planning his next caper right now!
