ADOPTION PENDING

We named this darling girl Thistle because she lived most of her past life in the bushes - (and because we liked the name). Thistle was a "neighborhood" dog who was fed and probably sometimes shown affection by neighbors and their children - but no one claimed her. We speculate that she may have been brought into a home now and then. A local rescuer kept trying to find her a home or a rescue, and was even able to give her some initial vaccinations about a year ago - but mostly Thistle lived in the bushes. Finally, a law officer said she would have to go or she would be picked up and euthanized. Thank goodness that rescuer got in touch with us!! Thistle adapted quickly to her Louisiana foster home and she was so grateful for all the kindness and care she was shown. From thistles to pearls for this girl - she deserves a beautiful life. Thistle is great with other dogs and is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! We are only guessing she may have some Vizsla in her based on her appearance, but she is not large at all - still a good size for your lap. Thistle is ready for her sleepover!
