EXPECTED TO ARRIVE END OF JULY
Homer is a beautiful beagle who has probably suffered through some years of neglect and it seems as if he may have been punished harshly in his past for normal beagle behavior. When he first arrived at his Louisiana foster home, Homer held back watching the humans with the other dogs. Once he decided they were okay, he started to trust more and more. He is really a typical beagle - he loves food, he loves his dog bed. He enjoys tracking and will give his beagle call when out in the yard, but he can definitely enjoy a good cuddle when he settles down. Even though Homer can be a little stubborn at times, his house manners are good . His foster mom gives hima an A- in house training. He always wants to know what’s going on, unless he is sleepy (which happens a lot).  Homer had a good time at the dog park and had no problems with dogs or people. He does love to join in with a good howl when the other dogs are singing their beagle song.. Homer will definitely make some family a wonderful pet. Homer did test positive for heartworms but has already been treated and is recovering well. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations.
